It Takes a Village — End-of-year Fundraiser

What is It Takes a Village? It’s a celebration of how Columbia Chorale, one community choir, grew into eleven different ensembles (A WHOLE VILLAGE) with the help of people like you! Whether you’re a choir member or arts supporter, let’s embrace the multiple ways we’ve come together through CAAM.  Starting on Giving Tuesday (November 28) until December 31, help us reach our $3,500 goal!

Donate now to the It Takes a Village Fundraiser!

We hope to raise $3,500 for two main purposes:

  • Support all of our amazing CAAM organizations: Columbia Youth Choirs (7 choirs!), Columbia Chorale, Columbia Chamber Choir, CAAM Men’s Choir, Columbia Community Gospel Choir, and Prometheus.
  • Put on It Takes a Village: Community Through Song, a powerful concert on April 14, 2018 at the historic Missouri Theatre.  It Takes a Village meaningfully weaves together multiple art forms to celebrate the value of a supportive community. All CYC ensembles, along with CAAM Men’s Choir, Columbia Chorale, and members of Columbia Community Gospel Choir, will join forces with a jazz quintet, percussion musicians, African-style dancers, and local artists to present Zimbe!, the flagship work of composer Alexander L’Estrange that fuses African song and jazz. This unique experience is not to be missed!

 Share Our Campaign!

  • Spread the word on social media by sharing the link above and using the hashtag #CAAMItTakesAVillage with your post.
  • Share photos and stories on social media on why you love CAAM and how it’s impacted you.
  • Pay it forward! Do something kind for another person this season!

The power of giving together is great. For example, if you and four others each donated $20.00, that would cover one year of session fees for a CYC singer in need. So, please share It Takes a Village with your friends and family to keep community arts alive. With your support, we can reach and even exceed our goal, ensuring that CAAM will continue to offer exceptional choral experiences for everyone, from beginning youth to the seasoned musician.
